hello & Welcome!

My name is Sarah. I’m a nature-loving, latte-drinking bookworm who listens to WAY too many podcasts!

I’m a native Californian, living along the central coast with my family. Before I pursued my life coach certification, I spent 12 years as a Home Educator, homeschooling my two children. I also created a website called Homegrown Scholars, where I blogged regularly and included all sorts of fantastic educational resources.

During my time as a Home Educator, I received my Yoga Instructor Certification and spent over a decade teaching yoga and mindfulness meditation to individuals and small groups.

So how does life coaching fit in?

Years ago, I heard about this thing called Life Coaching. I thought, wow, that sounds intriguing. So I learned all that I could about this fairly new-on-the-scene career path, talked with a few coaches, and became really excited about the possibility of becoming a coach. It was a busy season in my life, however, so pursuing coaching certification was put on hold.

Time marched on and the years wooshed by. Other opportunities and adventures popped up, and coaching continued to take a back seat to everything else that was competing for my time.

But I never lost that spark of intrigue and excitement that coaching had ignited.

Fast forward almost two decades and I found myself entering a new season of life. With one of my children leaving for college and the other in high school, my desire to explore coaching came back in full force.

What I love about coaching is the collaborative, co-creative process between coach and client. I am able to use my greatest strengths and skills in service of my clients. It is truly the most rewarding experience!

Coaching my clients and witnessing their powerful shifts and transformations feels like magic!

“I highly recommend Sarah and I know that she will change lives in her work as a Life Coach. In my session with Sarah, she listened very attentively, not only to what I was saying but also to the tone of my voice so that she was able to perceive the emotions that I was experiencing. She asked the right questions and helped clarify for me exactly what I was dealing with and what my options were in terms of a solution. I felt calmer and more clear about the emotional work I needed to do. In addition to this, shortly after the session, I received a very detailed email that outlined our meeting. It helped me to let go of all of the extraneous issues and only focus on the core issue at hand. Without Sarah’s help, I don’t believe I would have been able to truly understand my role in this situation and how to effectively resolve it.”
